Wow, January was a whirlwind! I'm honored to have kicked off the year with a heap of new projects from many repeat clients.

The Italian Obsession

During the first week of January, I completed a proof-edit of The Italian Obsession by TL Swan. I have worked on several books for this best-selling author already, and none of them have disappointed. If you like dominant, ultra sexy male characters, Enrico Ferrara is sure to become your newest book boyfriend. The Italian Obsession is set to release on October 20, 2026, by Keeperton.

Don't Give a Fig

The next project I did was a second copyediting pass on Ava Devlin's Don't Give a Fig, a sweet Regency romance, book 7 of Ava Devlin's Ladies' Revenge Club series. This installment follows Rosalind and Matthew's forced marriage as a result of a scandal, with a twist—Rosalind agrees to marry Matthew to save HIS reputation! He is a vicar, after all, and if he wants to keep his position, propriety must be kept.

Dear Phyllis

After that, I completed a beta read for author Bill Walker on a book called Dear Phyllis. It's an age-gap romance but from the man's point of view, which is something that's not usually seen in the romance genre. Also, the younger partner is the man, not the woman!

I had a lot to say about Dear Phyllis, which is being submitted to an agent for traditional publishing. Mr. Walker had this to say about my beta read report:

This is exactly why you're worth every penny for this read, so please know that I appreciate your perspective very much. I will catch you on the next book!

To Harm and to Heal

The last project of the month was a first copyediting pass on Ava Devlin's To Harm and to Heal, book 8 of her Ladies' Revenge Club series. This last book follows Mae and Roland's slow-burn romance. All throughout this series, Roland has been the most enigmatic male character, and I was so thrilled to finally get to know him and uncover his secrets. The HEA was dreamy and took place in a country and city I visited back in 2018, so I could picture myself spending my honeymoon there like they did.

Stay tuned for February's recap—a lot of exciting things happened that I can't wait for you to read about!
